“Water-free” lubrication

IFC® RING MAIN system is the innovative solution, based on application experiences, able to satisfy both today’s and future needs concerning the “water-free” lubrication of the conveyor chains.

Planned to obtain a clean, odorless and colorless lubrication, it allows to drastically reduce the friction, the power consumption of the engines, it considerably improves both stability and smooth transport of the containers in movement, it increases protection and efficiency of the conveyor chains, therefore increasing the transport line reliability.

It is and ecological friendly system, which respects the habitat and makes the work environment safer.

Application areas

  • Food & Beverage Industry
  • Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Chemical Industry
  • Empty Glass Industry
  • Automotive Industry

Advantages

  • Avoids the use of water
  • No generation of foam
  • Clean, odorless and colorless lubrication
  • No generation of mildew nor bacteria proliferation
  • Drastic reduction of deterioration with multilayer cardboard containers and PET bottles
  • Possibility to have larger line storages
  • Minimum lubricant consumption
  • No ecological impact with the active mud of the purifiers
  • More safety, dry floors (no slipping)
  • Chains protection against oxidation and corrosion
  • Reduction of friction, chain wearing and noise level
  • Reduction of downtime (higher productivity)
  • Reduction of maintenance needs
  • Migliore stabilità dei contenitori trasportati
  • Better stability of the containers in movement
  • Reduction of scraps and management costs
  • Safety lubrication (up to 3 days with PET bottles)

The system

It is a “resistive, with product recirculation” system, with main distribution pipeline closed as a ring (Ring Main).

To apply hydraulic pressure on the lubricant inside the main pipeline (exclusively during the active time of the lubrication cycle) guarantees the release of the dosed product through volumetric units and the correct distribution through the lubrication units installed on board of the conveyor.

By using a precise pre-determined quantity of lubricant, a thin and uniform layer of lubricant is created on the chain surface.

Control and management

Monitoring and management of IFC® Ring Main systems (“S” and “T” class) is obtained through a specific PLC exchange (IFC®1).
With the dedicated software it is possible both to properly manage the lubrication and to monitor the correct management of the system itself.

The “T” class, by addition of a multitasking management kit supplied as optional, has the capability to manage in separate and independent way the lubrication of sections of the line (up to 4), or even of more lines (up to 4, located close to each others).

The “R” class is managed with an integrated module, where it is possible to modify the pause time between the lubrication cycles.

Available standard versions

IFC® Ring Main “T” class – for installations with a pipeline ring longer than 200 m. and more than 60 lubrication units

IFC® Ring Main “S” class – for installations with a pipeline ring shorter than 200 m. and less than 60 lubrication units

IFC® Ring Main “R” class – for installations with a pipeline ring shorter than 50 mt and less than 25 lubrication units

Automatic lubrication systems IFC® Ring Main “R”/”S”/”T” class use INTERFLON® lubricants.
